Handcrafted in our atelier in Elgin, Scotland, our men's outerwear collection brings together the finest natural fibres and centuries of weaving expertise. At its heart sits the iconic Balmacaan Coat, a design born near our Scottish mill in the 1880s and refined ever since. Cut from heritage estate tweeds and pure wool cloths woven on our own looms, the Balmacaan is a masterclass in Scottish tailoring: a raglan silhouette, clean lines, and a weight that moves effortlessly from winter into spring.

Alongside the Balmacaan, the collection spans merino wool coats, cashmere jackets, and transitional outerwear, each piece made by hand in Elgin using the same time-honoured techniques that have defined Johnstons of Elgin since 1797. Every stitch reflects our commitment to craft, quality, and responsible production.
